It has been a cold few days in the Alaskan interior, so we took the day to simmer a rich caribou bone broth and pressure can it for the pantry stores. Nutrient-dense and supportive, we sip bone broth weekly and reach for jars whenever we have been working a long time out in the cold. It is a traditional way to use and honor the whole animal, full of vitamins, minerals, collagen, and gelatin. We kept the homestead running and made a wild-foraged lingonberry Dutch baby for lunch, alongside a fresh sourdough.
